Social selling is a strategy that uses social networks (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Linkedin etc...) as a way to build a relationship with potencial customers, in order to gain leads and even generate or increase sales.
This relationship is built based on interactions such as sharing new content, "likes" and answering to comments on posts and clarification of doubts, with the aim of getting closer to the customer and gain their trust.

Pillars of Social Selling
According to Semrush, social selling has 4 pillars:

Personal branding
Before your start your social selling strategy, you need to make sure that you have your personal brand well defined, so that it is easier to communicate it to your potential customers.

Lead generation
As mentioned earlier, lead generation is one of the main goals of social selling.
Social networks are full of potential customers, so you should focus your efforts on how to reach them, offer your product and make them interact with your brand.
In order to ensure a more effective strategy, define well who is your persona, what are the main social networks they use, and what they value.

Engagement
It is through engagement that your content (and therefore your brand) is disseminated by social networks, thus reaching a larger number of people.
The creation of relevant content on social networks (such as tips, tricks and curiosities) will not only increase the brand's authority on those issues, but will also make your followers share it on social networks.

Customer Relationship
This last pillar is strongly related to the previous point.
Creating relevant content that meets the interests of your target audience will make them interact more with the brand, thus deepening the brand-customer relationship. Once a relationship of trust and proximity with the brand is created, it becomes more likely that the customer will spread the word and recoomend it to others.
